Is Caliper on the App Store yet?
Not yet — Caliper is currently in beta on TestFlight while the next release is finished. Email support@calipercar.com for an invite. Beta testers get the full app, free.
Do I need a subscription to use Caliper?
No. Caliper is free to download and use for one vehicle, with manual trip logging and the full logbook. Caliper Pro adds automatic trip detection, the CarPlay app, tax-ready mileage exports, multiple vehicles and businesses, the cost forecast, and more.
Is iCloud required?
No. Caliper stores everything on-device by default. If you sign in to iCloud, your data syncs across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac automatically.
Can I export everything if I cancel?
Yes. Your logbook, fuel history, and mileage records export as PDF and CSV from Settings — at any subscription tier, including after you cancel.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
If you have iCloud sync on, your data stays in your iCloud account and returns when you reinstall. If iCloud is off, deleting the app deletes the data with it — export first.
Which countries does the mileage log support?
Canada (CRA), the United States (IRS), the United Kingdom (HMRC), Australia (ATO), Ireland (Revenue), and New Zealand (IRD).
Does Caliper work without an internet connection?
Yes. Logging, reminders, the logbook, and the car health view all work offline. Sync resumes when you're back online.
